Hotel Manager Training Programs
Are you a high-performing supervisor ready to elevate your career? The Westgate Manager in Training program offers a fast-track opportunity to advance your learning and career development that will prepare you to become a successful leader. During the 4-6 month program, you will participate in on-the-job training and business classes that cover essential leadership skills and practical business insights. MIT participants will have access to mentorship from a General Manager, coordinator support, expert training, ongoing one-on-one coaching, and priority consideration for leadership positions upon graduation. Westgate is committed to investing in our Team Members' professional growth.
Managers will nominate 6-12 supervisory-level Team Members.
Team Members must complete 4-6 months of training to be considered for priority leadership positions.
Nominees will also complete an essay and an interview to be admitted to the program.
Additional compensation is not given while participating in the program, however, travel costs such as flights and housing will be covered.
The program runs once per year but eventually will run twice per year.
Upon graduation, we seek open leadership positions for MITs to interview and be placed.
Includes 10 business classes, a capstone assignment, and 5-40 days in each resort ops department. MIT program details
Certified Field Trainer Program
The Certified Field Trainer program is designed to elevate the careers and skills of line-level Team Members. As a CFT, you'll coach and mentor new hires, providing essential knowledge and feedback to ensure their success. Coursework includes learning and mastering effective coaching, mentoring, and training, setting you on a path to becoming a Westgate leader. In addition to enhancing your skillset through education classes, CFTs receive priority consideration for promotions to supervisory roles and earn additional compensation for their training duties. Designed to identify line-level Team Members who are interested in taking on additional training responsibilities.
Prepares line-level Team Members for emerging leadership roles by teaching key skills like coaching, mentoring, facilitation, communication, etc.
Each location has an allotted number of CFTs based on staffing needs.
Adds $1.00 per hour of compensation to selected CFTs upon completion of the starting line workshop.
Includes a 2-day starting workshop, 8 continuing education courses, and a deep dive mentorship program. Apply for the CTF Program
