As the Group Sales Manager, you’ll be a part of the strategy and execution of group business at one of Utah’s premier resorts. You’ll focus on corporate, SMERF, government, and association markets, building lasting relationships and driving revenue across rooms, meetings, and events.
This is a dynamic, people-centered role where you’ll combine strategic thinking, hospitality expertise, and hands-on leadership to grow business, mentor your team, and elevate the Westgate brand.

What You'll Do as a Group Sales Manager:
(Other duties may be assigned.)
- Serve as a liaison between Sales Director, Revenue Management, Inventory, Accounting, and Resort Operations
- Manage group programs and events from initial inquiry through execution
- Maintain organized files for all group bookings and ensure accurate documentation
- Conduct site inspections for prospective clients and remain familiar with competitive set properties
- Follow up on all group inquiries and bureau-generated leads
- Prepare group contracts, block rooms, send agreements to clients, and offer upsell amenities
- Maintain and update group room control logs (GRC)
- Source and solicit new group business across targeted markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local CVBs, chambers of commerce, and community partners
- Negotiate group contracts within established guidelines
- Develop group sales campaigns including mailers, telemarketing, and sales call strategies
- Create group booking incentives to support revenue goals
- Coordinate with Reservations Manager on source/origin codes
- Partner with sales support to enhance tracking and reporting tools
- Meet and exceed monthly goals set by the Director of Revenue Management (DORM)
- Deliver presentations to corporations, HR departments, or other decision-making groups
- Assist with additional projects as needed.

Education & Experience
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; OR
- Six months to one year of related experience and/or training; OR
- Equivalent combination of education
