Responsible for the operation of all retail assets (including bait and tackle retail products, launch slip fees, parking, boat operations and swamp buggy operations) and business to ensure efficient and profitable operations, and maximizes the potential of all retail facility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
As a Marina Ops and Retail Director, you will
- Direct and monitor all duties of the Marina Ops & Retail Manager as well all department team members
- Order supplies from approved vendors within company purchasing procedures.
- Oversee the training of all staff to service guests correctly.
- Oversee the proper quality control of supplies and retail products to include quality control, inventory accuracy and rotating of stock.
- Oversee train supervisory staff to follow up and maintain standards.
- Ensure the inspect marina equipment for conformance to governments and company safety, security, sanitation and law requirements.
- Ensure staff training programs and sales incentive programs which support increasing sales.
- Responsible for providing excellent service to owners and guests alike.
- Ensure adherence to product receiving procedures consistent with department policies.
- Prepare and adjust work schedules for the entire staff to ensure presence of requisite labor force on each shift with objective to meet customer service standards budgeted guidelines.
- Ensure all areas are adhering to company SOP procedures. Conduct cash till and bank audits on regular basis.
- Develop and implement outlet business plans, review and recommend adjustments quarterly.
- Organize regularly scheduled training classes and meetings.
- Oversee the discipline individual staff in accordance to company guidelines.
- Oversee the New Hire staff selection, interviewing, orientation and department training. All to be conductedwithin company/department guidelines.
- Oversee the development and implementation of outlet on-going staff training programs.
- Oversee the detailed training to all staff specific to compliance responsibilities to State Health Regulations.
- Review financial statements
- Control operating expenses in accordance with weekly sales per budget
- Oversee the operation of outlets within budgeted guidelines.
- Ensure and maintains current and accurate standard operating procedural manuals to include service standards, cash handling procedures, specifications, safety and security, purchasing, ordering, receiving, stocking, requisitioning and internal audit policies.
- Maintains each outlet par stock per department procedure.
- Administers liquor/beverage requisitions per department procedure.
- Performs POS System voids, management functions and programming within department procedures.
- Responds to guest inquiries, complaints in a professional and urgent manner.
- Maintains department records per company, governmental and department policies/regulations.
- Maintains department guidelines for weekly payroll.
- Ensures adherence to all defined department/company standard operating procedures within department.
- Ensure proper key control is maintained.
- Enforces staff, company and department grooming policies.
- Evaluates individual staff customer service quality levels daily.
- Maintains current job descriptions within department
- Ensures all property and assets are maintained, monitored and presented in a manner that is in keeping with the marina standards.
- Develop strategic marketing and sales initiatives to ensure continued business growth.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Aptitude for multi-tasking.
- Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
