Are you an accounting professional who thrives on accuracy, leadership, and making an impact? As a Property Controller at Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa, you’ll lead the on-site resort accounting operations that keep our business running efficiently. You’ll oversee accounting for Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Retail, manage a talented team of 2–3 direct reports, and partner with resort and regional leaders to ensure accounting accuracy, cost control, and operational excellence. What You’ll Do as a Property Controller:
- Lead resort accounting operations for Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Retail departments.
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly reporting cycles including income audits, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts in partnership with Corporate and HOA Accounting teams.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, cash handling, and vendor payment processes.
- Partner with resort leaders to monitor expenses, labor costs, and accounting performance.
- Conduct cash audits, support internal audits, and ensure all accounting procedures meet company standards.
- Lead, train, and develop a small accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and service.

What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 2+ years of accounting management experience within a hospitality, resort, or property environment (highly preferred)
- Experience with HOA accounting and condo association financial reporting (preferred)
- Exposure to multi-department operations (Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Retail)
- Proficiency in Excel, financial reporting, and accounting systems (Oracle, ADP, or similar)
- CPA or CMA certification preferred but not required
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills with attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on resort environment
