The SuperBook Database Marketing Manager (SB DM Manager) is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to maximize the revenue and retention of the SuperBook database. The SB DM Manager collaborates with the Database Marketing, Race & Sports, Players Club, & Brand Marketing teams to create marketing programming that drives SuperBook customer acquisition, increases bet volume, ensures customer loyalty, and grows net revenues.
General Summary Of Duties:
- Responsible for managing the team that queries and segments customer database for creating mail, telephone, and e-mail lists for marketing purposes.
- Directly supervise the Database Marketing organization, to include recruiting and team development.
- Maintain the general hygiene of the customer database as related to bad addresses, bad data, and duplicate accounts.
- Research customer account information in the customer database system.
- Light customer service calls.
- Provide friendly, excellent service to every internal and external customer.
Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)
- Responsible for accuracy and timelines of data in support of Direct Marketing and Special Event offers. Ensures the processes around data manipulation are efficient, accurate and meet the highest levels of data security.
- Assists in strategic direction of specific direct marketing initiatives by coordinating analytical support, as well as interpreting these analyses and articulating sound program/offer recommendations.
- Run canned queries, as well as write and run ad-hoc queries, against customer database using relational database query software.
- Create and maintain Access databases that import, manipulate, and export customer data.
- Create segmented customer lists for mail, telephone, and e-mail marketing campaigns.
- Create offers and matrices for the segmented lists. Use in-house created software to specify customer segments, designate coupons, and create final "mail files" for all direct mail, telephone, and e-mail campaigns. Send files to vendors for execution of mail, telephone, and e-mail campaigns.
- Manipulate and present data in Excel.
- Identify and correct, or facilitate the correction of, bad data in the customer database.
- Interact with members of the marketing staff and other casino departments in a friendly, understandable, and responsible manner.
- Perform other tasks as requested.
- Lead an organization with methods and actions that are ethical and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies.
- Identify compliance risks and take actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks.
- Champion, within the organization, a commitment to honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior.
- Create a compliance culture within the organization and foster an environment where employees feel comfortable reporting potential violations or misconduct.
Experience Requirements
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
- Must have previous computer experience with specific knowledge of relational database query software, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of SQL is desirable.
- Understanding of direct mail list segmentation techniques and theories is desirable.
- Must be very detail oriented, well organized, and self-motivated.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
Education Requirements
- College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required
