Support the Restaurant General Manager in ensuring smooth daily operations and achieving key objectives. This role assists in overseeing restaurant organization and helps lead the team by coordinating all front-of-house activities—either directly or through supervision of team leads.
Duties
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring adherence to service standards, safety procedures, and cash handling policies.
- Hire, train, and develop team members while leading ongoing training programs to enhance service quality and compliance with health regulations.
- Create staff schedules based on business needs, budget guidelines, and customer service standards.
- Monitor and manage labor costs and operating expenses to ensure budget compliance.
- Uphold company grooming and conduct policies.
- Maintain accurate operational documentation and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Resolve guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Track and analyze sales data, prepare revenue forecasts, and contribute to budget planning.
- Manage inventory, beverage controls, and requisitions in line with company standards, including maintaining par stock levels.
- Promote team engagement through recognition programs, sales incentives, and regular staff meetings.
- Ensure the restaurant environment reflects Westgate’s standards of cleanliness, service, and guest experience excellence.
- Lead team meetings and pre-shift huddles to align staff on daily priorities, special events, and service goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of both units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- High school diploma or general education degree GED.
- The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Follow instructions without close supervision.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Required to pass a background screen, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
- TAM Card (Alcohol Awareness Training).
- Food Handler Safety Training Card (Health Card).
