Westgate Resorts is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed) to support the Safety and Security Program at Westgate Palace Resort. This full‑time, on‑site Security Officer position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment for team members, guests, and management. The ideal candidate will serve as a visible uniformed presence, provide first response to incidents, and ensure compliance with company policies and state regulations.
- Provide initial response to all police, fire, and medical incidents in accordance with Security Officer training and company policy
- Maintain a high‑visibility, uniformed security presence at assigned properties
- Manage entry and exit access control points, including key control and accountability
- Monitor fire alarm panels, surveillance cameras, and security monitoring systems as required by law
- Conduct routine and scheduled safety and security inspections
- Accurately maintain security logs, activity reports, checklists, and documentation
- Write clear, detailed incident reports using computer systems and email communication
- Respond to security‑related complaints and take appropriate corrective action
- Assist law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical personnel as requested
- Perform lost and found inventory control in accordance with company procedures
- Carry out traffic control and parking enforcement duties when assigned
- Provide basic service support and preventative maintenance for electronic security systems and in‑room safes, when applicable
- Perform additional security‑related duties as assigned by management within corporate policy
- High school diploma or GED required
- Active Florida Class D Security License
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- One to three months of related security experience or training preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
