The Team Member Engagement Coordinator is responsible for supporting and coordinating company-wide engagement efforts that foster a positive, inclusive, and purpose-driven culture. This role assists with the development and implementation of engagement activities, communications, and recognition programs. Working cross-functionally, this individual plays a key role in helping enhance the team member experience across all locations, ensuring programs align with Westgate’s values and mission.
This role may require occasional travel (up to 15%) to Westgate properties and local events across Central Florida. Coordinate and support execution of team member engagement programs, activities, and recognition efforts in collaboration with business leaders and HR partners.
- Assist in the planning and communication of events, campaigns, and initiatives that celebrate team member milestones, promote our values, and build team spirit.
- Support the onboarding experience by helping maintain resources and tools that ensure new team members feel welcomed and informed regarding engagement programs.
- Develop and draft internal communications, including emails, flyers, newsletters, and content for internal platforms such as Westgate Insider.
- Maintain and help update engagement calendars and communication timelines to ensure consistent messaging and program visibility.
- Research best practices and trends in employee engagement to support the development of new ideas and improvements to current programs.
- Assist with light data tracking, survey participation metrics, and activity participation reporting.
- Support virtual and in-person engagement activities across various departments and locations, including logistics coordination and basic facilitation as needed.
- Collaborate with Marketing, People and Culture, and other internal teams to align messaging and promote a unified employer brand voice.
- Serve as a point of contact for general engagement-related questions, promoting positive and timely communication.
- Participate in task forces or committees that focus on culture, recognition, or engagement.

Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in Human Resources, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in employee engagement, internal communications, or event coordination.
- Experience in hospitality or service-oriented industries is a plus.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or related area preferred; or equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education.
Skills/Knowledge
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Organized and able to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to create professional and engaging content.
- Comfortable working independently and exercising discretion within set guidelines and goals.
