Job Description

The Warehouse Clerk position is responsible for receiving and storing goods in the warehouse, as well as picking orders for distribution. The role requires basic math skills, physical capability, and the ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, box trucks, order pickers, and reach trucks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Include the following, along with any other duties that may be assigned:

  • Receive items delivered to the assigned warehouse from outside suppliers in Oracle.

  • Deliver goods to multiple locations and properties using company vehicles and/or equipment.

  • Follow inventory control and receiving procedures.

  • Inspect delivered items and note any concerns on the packing tickets.

  • Open shipping containers to verify item count and check for damage.

  • Prepare shipments to prevent damage during transport or movement.

  • Perform custodial tasks to maintain cleanliness in the warehouse.

  • Attend meetings and support process improvement initiatives.

  • Assist in pulling and preparing orders.

  • Obtain end-user signatures or other required delivery documentation.

  • Communicate with internal and external clients and customers in a polite, courteous, and cooperative manner, demonstrating a commitment to quality service.

  • Photograph returned inventory and make written notes on the condition and any damage for each item.

  • Lift and move inventory continuously throughout an 8-hour (or longer) workday.

  • Move products that may exceed 100 lbs., including lifting and placing items throughout the warehouse.

  • Organize and relocate products within the warehouse to maximize space utilization. This includes shrink-wrapping, consolidating, and labeling storage areas.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • One or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a warehouse clerk role

  • Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced environment

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Valid Nevada driver’s license with an insurable driving record

  • Certified forklift driver (must obtain certification within 60 days of hire — company will provide training)

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

  • Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds

  • Specific vision requirements include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception

Work Environment

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts

  • Frequently exposed to high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions

  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
