Irrigation Technician

Pay rate: $19 / hour - Use our Daily Pay benefit and get access to your pay as you need it.

Operates, maintains, and repairs existing irrigation systems to ensure adequate moisture for plantings. Sets and maintains automatic irrigation systems to run systematically according to the landscape care program. Designs, installs, tests, and maintains new irrigation systems, backflow devices and controllers.

• Install irrigation and sprinkler systems
• Tests systems for potential issues
• Evaluate the winterization of each system
• Sprinkler valve repair
• Landscape area as needed
• Maintains a safe work environment and performs all duties in a safe manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED certificate
• Some post-secondary training in irrigation or landscaping preferred
• Backflow/Irrigation Install Certification preferred
• Proficient in design, installation, and troubleshooting of irrigation systems required
• Valid FL driver’s license
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work in wet, humid, and outdoor weather conditions and extreme heat and sun exposure
