Job Description

Westgate Resorts is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant II to support our resort accounting operations. This role is responsible for leading the F&B month-end close process, analyzing financial performance, and driving standardization and efficiency across multiple resort locations.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in hospitality accounting, inventory management systems (Yellow Dog or similar), and advanced financial analysis.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and coordinate F&B month-end close across all resort properties
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, revenue, and expense variances
  • Ensure timely and accurate journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Develop and improve F&B accounting processes, SOPs, and efficiencies
  • Standardize accounting practices across multiple resort locations
  • Monitor and analyze inventory movement, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies
  • Partner with FP&A on budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Generate executive-level reports and dashboards to support decision-making
  • Train and support users on Yellow Dog inventory system
  • Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with IT on testing and enhancements
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, IT, and Finance teams
  • Lead inventory communication cycles, including deadlines and reporting requirements
  • Provide problem-solving insights and actionable recommendations to leadership

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, resort, or F&B environments
  • Strong knowledge of month-end close, financial reporting, and variance analysis
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, data analysis)
  • Experience with Yellow Dog or other F&B inventory/POS systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment
