FEMALE Concierge Spa
Spa Concierge is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe and relaxing environment for our guests while providing uncompromising levels of guest service.
Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)
- Consistently ensures cleanliness of all Spa/Fitness areas.
- Provides guest with tour of locker room and explains available amenities, in a courteous and timely manner
- Appropriately dispenses towels, robes, slippers and refreshments to guests; removes and stores dirty linens according to procedures.
- Performs laundry duties, if applicable, including washing, drying, and folding linen
- Monitors locker rooms and replenishes supplies on a regular basis.
- Assists guest flow of services from locker room to professional staff
- Informs facility management of any member, guest, or facility issues.
- Knowledgeable about the facility, the property and its amenities in order to effectively communicate with guests.
- Reports any incidents or accidents to a member of the management team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Performance Requirements: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)
- Social skills as demonstrated by the ability to effectively deal with internal/external guests, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to diffuse, collect accurate information and resolve problems and concerns.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language clearly to ascertain and document important information, to follow written and/or verbal instructions and to provide clear direction and guidance. Ability to relate to all levels of management and employees in verbal/written form.
- Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice. Answer questions and offer assistance giving accurate information regarding outlet hours, other hotel services, directions to local attractions or function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc.
- Understands that as a representative of the Spa they will maintain a healthy, fit appearance and a positive attitude.
- Answer the telephone and provide information as needed.
- Ability to perform duties in unfavorable conditions which can be hot, cold, wet and noisy.
- Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to fold towels and handle beverages.
- Ability to operate laundry carts and flatbed carts.
- Ability to grasp, bend, push, lift and/or carry 25 lbs., or otherwise, move linen/supplies on a hand cart/flat cart weighing a maximum of 75 lbs. on an intermittent basis.
- Ability to walk/stand and work 90 percent of shift walking a maximum of 2 miles.
- Ability to deal with a number of problems requiring initiative and good judgment.
- Perform all assigned side work to include replenishing linens and restocking shelves with toiletry supplies.
- Knowledge of proper use of various spa equipment, to instruct guest on proper usage, to insure equipment is in safe operating order.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and multiple interruptions.
- Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
- Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy hotel activity, serving as a role model for other employees. Resolve complications and complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation and the most effective solutions. Make decisions and take action based on previous experience & judgment, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations.
- Ability to maintain attendance in conformance with standards.
- Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
Experience Requirements and Edcuation Requirements
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Desirables:
Resort Spa experience or Housekeeping experience
