Floor Care Technician

Adjacent to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the most-visited national park in the country, Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, provides an amazing work environment with refreshing mountain breezes and spectacular views of the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains. As a member of the Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort team, you will meet and engage with guests who have arrived to enjoy all the Great Smoky Mountains have to offer and help them experience our world-class amenities such as the state-of-the-art Wild Bear Falls water park.

Clean carpets and floors in rooms and public areas of the resort.

As a Floor Care Technician, you will:

• Clean carpets and floors in rooms and public areas of the resort
• Clean carpets, upholstery, floors and room accessories to remove effects of smoke and water damage such as dirt, soot, stains, mildew and excess water moisture
• Wax and strip floors as needed
• Drive vehicles or golf carts with floor mounted or portable commercial carpet, upholstery and interior cleaning machines, tools and supplies to work site
• Ensure that proper safety signs are set up prior to performing floor cleaning activities 
• Place fans and dehumidifiers in strategic room location to remove moisture from carpets, upholstery and air
• Verify moisture presence and removal with moisture sensor 
• Spray or fog carpets, upholstery and accessories with fabric conditioners and protectors, deodorizers and disinfectants
• Inspect completed restoration to ensure conformance to standards 
• Assists in training of fellow employees in the department
• Other duties may be assigned

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
• Have stamina to meet physical demands of the job (i.e., push, pull, bend, kneel, walk stairs, lift)
• Flexible working hours, able to work on weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Valid TN State drivers license
• Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States
