Job Description

The Foundation Intern provides administrative and project coordination support for the Westgate Foundation and Team Member Engagement team. Assists with assigned foundation initiatives, including events, Team Member engagement activities, volunteer programs, and communications/social media support. Maintains documentation and tracking for program activities and coordinates with internal stakeholders and external nonprofit partners as needed.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Assist with the coordination, processing, tracking, and documentation of in-kind donation requests for nonprofit fundraising and Foundation initiatives.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for Foundation events and campaigns, including planning activities, scheduling, materials preparation, and post-event documentation.
  • Support Team Member engagement and volunteer initiatives, including the Summer of Service program, Acts of Kindness competition, and other community based activities.
  • Assist with coordination efforts involving nonprofit partners, including outreach, information gathering, and event participation support.
  • Maintain and update the Community Resource Guide by researching and documenting social service agencies across multiple states.
  • Support Foundation communications by assisting with social media content planning, posting, and engagement activities in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Participate in Foundation meetings and activities as assigned and provide general administrative support to the team, including recordkeeping and routine reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

Education & Experience

  • Prior internship, volunteer, academic, or work experience involving administrative support, event coordination, communications, customer service, or nonprofit/community programs is preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment is a plus.
  • Experience using basic office technology or productivity tools in an academic or work setting is beneficial.
  • Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in an accredited bachelor’s program—or a recent graduate (within 1 year).
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and must be in good academic standing.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, organize, and maintain information accurately.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Travel Requirements

  • This position requires flexibility in work location based on business needs. The Foundation Intern will be based at the Orlando - South Park Corporate Office or work from one of our Orlando or Kissimmee resort locations. Occasional travel between locations may be required to support hiring activities and on-site recruiting efforts.
