Job Description

At Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa’s Wild Bear Falls Water Park you will ensure the safety and supervision of all guests attending the water park and effectively respond to emergencies based on all established procedures. Must be American Red Cross Lifeguard Certified.

As a Lifeguard, you will:

  • Ensure the safety of guests by maintaining constant surveillance; scanning, and monitoring of guests for the assigned pool or water park area
  • Renders emergency care and contacts emergency medical services as necessary
  • Assists with maintaining the cleanliness of the facility
  • Prepares and maintains activity reports
  • Attends scheduled in-service training and follow all established safety procedures
  • Assists team members with other duties as required

Qualifications

  • American Red Cross, CPR, First Aid, and AED Certified (will provide training for certifications upon being hired)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak effectively with guests and other team members
  • Strong ability to recognize unsafe and hazardous situations and react properly
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and lift and/or move up to/over 100 pounds with assistance
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Required to pass a background screen, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States
