What Is a Westgate Hiring Event?

Westgate Hiring Events are larger, in-person hiring events hosted directly at one of our Westgate Resorts properties or locations.   These events are designed to make the hiring process easier and more convenient by bringing our recruiters, hiring leaders, and preboarding teams together in one place.

Depending on the positions available, you may be able to complete several steps of the hiring process during your visit, including registration, submitting application,  interviewing with a hiring leader, receiving an employment offer, and beginning required preboarding activities.

Some Westgate Hiring Events include opportunities across several departments, while others may focus on specific areas of the resort.

What to Expect

When you arrive, you'll check in with our recruiting team and let us know which position or department you're interested in. If you registered in advance, our team may already have your information and areas of interest available before you arrive. From there, you may:

  • Meet with a recruiter

  • Have your application or resume reviewed

  • Interview with a Westgate hiring leader

  • Learn more about the department and position

  • Explore other available opportunities that may match your experience

  • Receive an employment offer if selected

  • Begin required preboarding steps

We often create a dedicated event space with separate areas for check-in, interviews, offers, and preboarding so you can move through the process as efficiently as possible.


You May Discover Another Great Opportunity

You may arrive interested in one position and leave excited about another.  If our recruiting or hiring team believes your experience, interests, or availability may be a stronger fit for another open role, we may introduce you to another hiring leader during the event.  Our goal is to help you find the Westgate opportunity that best matches what you bring to the table.

Same-Day Offers May Be Available

One of the advantages of attending a Westgate Hiring Event is the opportunity to move through the hiring process quickly.  Qualified candidates may receive an employment offer during the event. Same-day offers are not guaranteed and will depend on the position, qualifications, interview process, and hiring needs, but many of these events are structured so hiring decisions can be made as quickly as possible.

Do I Need an Appointment?

That depends on the event. Some Walk-In Interview Days are truly open-door events where you can arrive at any point during the advertised interview window.

Others may encourage candidates to register or apply in advance. Always review the specific event listing for details before visiting the property.

What Happens If I Receive an Offer?

If you receive and accept an offer during the event, you may be able to begin some or all of your required preboarding activities before you leave.  Depending on the position and event, this may include:

  • New hire paperwork

  • Employment eligibility documentation ( I9 e-Verify )

  • Job or department-specific forms and acknowledgements

  • Company policies and employment documents

  • On-site drug screening, when available

  • Other required pre-employment steps

Some positions require additional testing or screenings that must be completed at another location.  For example, if your position requires a physical, lift test, physical ability assessment, laboratory screening, or another off-site requirement, we'll provide instructions on what you need to complete and where to go next.

All employment offers remain subject to successful completion of applicable pre-employment requirements.


Should I Register in Advance?

When registration or RSVP is available, we encourage you to sign up before the event.  Registering helps our team know you're coming, understand which positions you're interested in, and make sure we have enough hiring leaders available to meet with candidates. Walk-ins may also be welcome at some events. Check the individual event details to confirm whether registration is required, recommended, or optional.

What Should I Bring?

Come prepared to talk with us about your experience, availability, career interests, and the type of opportunity you're looking for.  Depending on the event and position, you may want to bring:

  • A current resume, if available

  • Information about your previous employment

  • Any certifications or licenses required for the position

  • Any documentation requested in the event instructions

  • Questions about the position, department, or Westgate Resorts

Most importantly, come ready to meet our team and interview.
