Dive into Lifeguard Jobs at our Brand New Water Park!
Westgate Resorts is thrilled to announce a major expansion in Kissimmee with the opening of our new water park! We are actively hiring safety-focused individuals for full-time, part-time, and seasonal lifeguard jobs. If you have strong swimming skills, a commitment to safety, and a desire to work in an exciting, high-energy environment, your career starts here.
Traditional Lifeguarding Vs Water Park Supervision
Unlike standard pool duties, a waterpark supervision role requires a specialized skillset. Your primary responsibilities as a Westgate Lifeguard will be to:
Maintain Constant Surveillance: Continuously scan our aquatic attractions, including slides, lazy rivers, and wave pools, to monitor guest activity and ensure safe use of all facilities.
Prevent and Educate: Proactively enforce water park rules and educate guests on safety procedures to prevent accidents before they happen.
Respond and Rescue: Be an expert swimmer, maintain physical fitness, and react quickly to provide prompt water rescues, CPR, and first aid in emergency situations.
Teamwork and Cleanliness: Collaborate closely with other Aquatics staff, including Lead Lifeguards and Supervisors, while assisting with the cleanliness and maintenance of the water park deck and facilities.
Career Advancement
A lifeguard job at our water park is a launching pad for a career in resort operations. We offer clear pathways to roles such as:
Lead Lifeguard
Aquatics Supervisor
Waterpark & Activities Manager
Requirements to be a Lifeguard at Westgate Resorts
To qualify, candidates must be at least 18 years of age and must be strong swimmers in excellent physical condition. The best part is that certification is provided! While possessing an American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification is a plus, Westgate offers paid training and certification upon hire for all qualifying candidates.
